Lizzard has a big brain and a big heart.
In 2006 she founded the “Women in Science & Technology” (WST) program at Boston College which every year for the last 6 years has provided 30 high school aged females a chance to work in research labs at BC and learn about opportunities in science.
In 2010 Lizzard started “Proyecto Chispa” (Project Spark) a new volunteer program that collects used computers, refurbishes them and installs educational software so that they can be sent to orphanages in Latin America where she hopes they will serve as the “chispa” or spark the children need to continue learning and through education break the cycle of poverty.
At the very moment Lizzard is working to create a “Lizzard- Dare to Know Scholarship” … stay tuned for details.
